What Is NDIS Short Term Accommodation?

Short Term Accommodation (STA) is an NDIS-funded support that covers temporary accommodation and support services away from a participant’s usual home. It may include personal care, meals, activities and overnight support for a short period.

STA is often used to:

  • Provide respite for family or informal carers
  • Support recovery following illness, injury or hospital discharge
  • Allow participants to experience a change of routine or environment
  • Trial independent or shared living arrangements

Our group homes are suited for NDIS participants who:

  • Require regular support with daily living tasks or personal care
  • Benefit from shared accommodation and on site support
  • Prefer community style living rather than living alone
  • Would like the social, recreational and lifestyle benefits of living with peers
  • Need support with mobility, personal care, behaviour support, or medical needs
